I’m finally investing some time to properly analyze my golf swing in an attempt to correct some fundamental swing flaws. After seeing my swing on video a few times now, I reckon I’ll need to invest a lot of time! I did come away from the range today with renewed optimism, having successfully applied a couple of swing changes…….all is not lost.
…..but this post isn’t about me, it’s about a bloke with a YouTube Channel featuring fantastic slow motion footage of tour professionals’ golf swings. This ‘bloke’ appears to prefer anonymity, so I know not his name. I do know that he has posted approx. 150 videos over the last year, all taken with his Casio EX F1 camera at golf tournaments that he actually attends.
I’m finding these slow motion videos really helpful to understand the key positions in the golf swing that I need to replicate….somehow, sometime. Check out the Rory McIlroy video below.

Being able to record your swing with a high speed camera and then review it is the best thing to happen to golfers since titanium drivers.
The only controllable segment of an action video is the END. By turning OFF recording you enable the software to play just the final FEW seconds super slow.
Example: Golf swing videos
Golf swing clips can range from 3 to 15 or 20 seconds. Not that long but if completely played back in slow motion; it becomes way too long. The GOLF Feature solves this problem. It plays just the final 3 secs in slo-mo. Now the nearly 200 video clips (90+ golfers per tournament) TIMES 2 camcorders: one behind and one across; are ready to play. At NORMAL speed then the final 3-secs in Slo-Mo.
Within minutes of leaving the course. That video is up and playing on a large screen while the participants are having their supper and awards. The video files are all loaded & running off a 2GB USB stick. The Golfers just loved it.

What wonderful screen saver / sampler this is. Selecting random video from 1000’s and playing just the END at full speed and or slow motion.
This catalog option is extremely fast because no editing is required. What other action sport would lend itself to this? Darts, Horse Shoes ….?
Also what a simple solution for sampling any verbal summary you may have done as you finish off the video or audio clip. If you use your video record button like THIS there will always be something worth showing right near the end. Some measure of control over LIVE video events is better than nothing.
