What I learnt about my golf game today

My Scorecard (Saturday, 20th March)

Deans_Golf_Scorecard_20032010

I had a good result this week, shooting 76 off the stick. That included 4 birdies, which I would guess is the most birdies I’ve ever had in a single round. You never know what’s just a round the corner with this game!

As well as I played this week, I still learnt a few things:

  • I need to work on my long putts. Had 3 three-putts again this week, mainly due to not getting my first putt close enough. I think I’m reading the speed of the greens OK, just not getting the feel of my longĀ  putts
  • Perspective is everything: I played with a guy today who shot about 50 over. He had a shocker! But you wouldn’t know it…….he was joking and smiling the whole way around. He simply loves being out on the golf course with guys who are just as passionate about the game as he is. Something for me to keep in mind next time I have a shocker……..as they say – your worst day on the golf course is better than the best day in the office!

Till next week……….

Can I help with a suggestion?
Well it’s not really my suggestion I got it from a book, “Straight down the Middle”, by Josh Karp.
He teaches you how to improve your golf game swing by mediation, and spirituality. It’s a good read and I noticed on Amazon it hit the #1 best sellers list in golf. It’s really a great read and helped me more than words can express.
